How EA uses AI
EA uses AI for research, analysis, development, programming, translation, text and media production, automated workflows, testing, and quality assurance, among other purposes. We select systems to suit the purpose, data, customer requirements, and risk. Depending on the task, cloud-based, private, hybrid, or local solutions and proprietary or open models may be used.
- Selection considers confidentiality, quality, suitability, security, cost, and contractual requirements
- Confidential or personal data may be processed only in approved systems and on an appropriate legal and contractual basis
- Published content and business decisions remain under human responsibility
Direct interaction with AI
When you interact directly with an AI system used by EA, we inform you clearly at the start and in a form accessible for the relevant channel. Depending on the service, you also receive information about its purpose, material limitations, data processing, and an available human contact route.
AI assistance by telephone
Inbound calls to our central telephone number may initially be answered by “Europa”, our AI assistant based on the sipgate AI Agent. Europa captures your enquiry and supports routing. We use the assistant only for inbound calls and never for outbound calls (as of July 2026). To conduct the conversation, sipgate processes the spoken content and provides EA with a transcript.
- The privacy policy explains the purpose, legal bases, recipients, deletion, and data-subject rights
- Anyone who does not wish to use the telephone channel can end the call and contact mail@european-atlantic.com by email
- The telephone assistant does not make decisions with legal or similarly significant effects
Published content and synthetic media
EA reviews and takes responsibility for content published on this website. Not every text created with AI support is labelled as such. We label realistic synthetic or materially manipulated image, audio, or video content where required by law or necessary for understanding. Text on matters of public interest is substantively reviewed by a qualified person before publication; editorial responsibility remains with EA.
Roles in customer solutions
For customer solutions, EA and the customer clarify the roles, responsibilities, and safeguards required for the specific solution. The product, branding, contract model, and actual control are particularly relevant. The relevant project agreement takes precedence over the general information on this website; this page is not legal advice.
Status and review
The transparency obligations under Article 50 of the EU AI Act apply from 2 August 2026. This information was reviewed on 30 July 2026 against the European Commission’s final guidelines. EA reassesses it after material changes to the telephone assistant, data processing, or other directly interactive AI systems and otherwise at least annually. This page is not a certification and does not replace a case-specific assessment.
